I “paint” each mineral on my iPad using Procreate. I started with the letters A-Z. Each mineral is created to visually represent the mineral itself and the first letter of the mineral. The second set consists of numbers 0-9. These were chosen in relation to hardness on the Mohs scale of Mineral Hardness and each is formed to shape the number. You can shop prints at 36minerals.com
